Welcome to the Fern Forest Tarot website. My name is Rebecca Bush and I created this tarot deck in 2014. I did the original artwork in acrylic gauche paint on watercolor paper, then did the layout for the cards, box and a small booklet in Adobe InDesign. The production was done through a US game company with manufacturing in China.
The Fern Forest Tarot is a full 78 card tarot deck. The Major Arcana (the 22 “big” themed cards from the Fool to the World) each feature one of my unique animal characters. The Court card characters (king, queen, prince and princess) are represented by cats, birds, mice and fish. The numbered cards, 1-10 in each suit, are dynamic arrangements of each symbol: coins, cups, swords and wands. Every card contains a word or phrase to prompt interpretation.
